The Diamond Collection's first DVD! Recorded
live at the Majestic Theater on Aug. 20&21. To make it even better, we
have special guest King Errisson on stage with TDC!!!
We put a wide range of Neil Diamond hits, but as always, TDC
loves to play Neil's more obscure music.
Cold Water Morning Live was made for you devout and hard
core Neil Diamond fans. I've chosen some of these selections for you. And
because they are ones that I have loved for years. If you happen to
be one of those Neil Diamond experts, then you will pick up on little
things. For instance, if you listen to I Am I Said, you will hear that it
is a mixture of the Hot August Night version, but then turns into the
Reprise on the album Stones. We have been playing Neil Diamond's music for
such a long time, that we are able to mix versions up for fun, and to keep
things fresh for you, AND for us. Performing some of these songs
live still gives me such a rush, and all around good feeling. I do hope
you will enjoy listening as we do performing this album. Here is the track
list, as well as a few sound clips for you to explore.
Our second album. We wanted
to record a studio album, and came up with this in 2004. I love this album! We
sold out of this album, but fear not!! We have re-ordered, and will be available
again in April 2010. There's a great mix of Neil Diamond's hits like Girl You'll
Be A Woman Soon, and our own version of (we're proud to be) America. So, if you
don't have it already, It's my belief that you will enjoy it.
When We Were One is such a special album for me. This was when we were know
as The Silent Partner Project, before we morphed into The Diamond Collection. It took 2 years to write,
and recording was pretty unique in how it was done. I used 13 musicians to
record it, but the interesting thing about it was, most of the players did not
know each other, nor had they ever met until the recording was completed. I even
managed to slide in a song by Neil Diamond. Pretty tricky huh?
The songs on this album come from the heart, and I do hope you enjoy
listening as much as I still do.
When I released my first jazz album,
"The King Arrives," in 1969, it sold over 150,000 copies. I strayed
away to vocal jazz, but I have wanted to do an instrumental album like
"Conga Serenade" for a long time. "Conga Serenade" is full
of joyful songs: some are reminiscent of the rhythms of my Bahamian childhood;
others are updated versions of my favorite movie themes; one track,
"Apache," is a nod to my early days with the Incredible Bongo Band;
and, I have added some new songs that I hope will become favorites,.
As a session musician, King has
worked with a very diverse group of artists representing a wide variety of
musical styles. King has been praised as the unsung hero behind Motown by Ray
Singleton in her book Berry, Me, and Motown as well as by Berry Gordy in his
book To Be Loved for his work with artists such as Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, The
Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Michael Jackson, the Jackson Five, and many
others. He has also worked with Herb Alpert, John Klemmer, Doc Severinsen, Ringo
Starr, Blood Sweat & Tears, Jim Stafford, Swamp Dogg, Barbra Streisand,
David Cassidy, Bobby Darin, Nancy Wilson, Johnny Mathis, OC Smith, Lou Rawles,
Hodges James and Smith, Mickey Stevenson, Barry White and The Carpenters. He was
a featured member of the Incredible Bongo Band and has been a member of Neil
Diamonds touring band since 1976.
