Gary Smith Keyboards & Backing Vocals
and another 4 years with the classical repertoire.
In 1977 he took interest in performing `rock music on stag e andjoined up with `Northbound' featuring Rob Rock as drummer and playing
top 40 music of the day..... as well as rock style keyboard playing only to begin a new adventure shortly there after with his own band called "Tangram" in 1980. The band changed names and became "The Robert Allen Band" and featured once again, Rob Rock this time on lead vocals! Later in the mid 80ies taking on Chris Impelliteri as lead guitarist and the band changing names for a final time becoming known as "VICE" ... All the while, Gary as the mainstay keyboardist. The final years of Vice brought about much experience in the music industry with tours throughout the country in `concert clubs' as well with recording at some of the top recording venues NYC and LA. In 1990, Gary began working at home taking a break from the rock scene and doing something he really enjoys very
much to this day, scoring orchestral music for short, locally produced films.
